A good friend asked why we say Jesus rose “on the third day” when the number of days between Friday and Sunday is actually two. It’s a very reasonable question, which has many (if not most) people today scratching their heads, so here’s the explanation. In Jesus’ day, the Jewish reckoning of time was different to the Romans’/our reckoning.
